Yes. It is made by hand, to order, in our studio in Yerevan, Armenia (hand-shaped papier-mâché). Because every piece is shaped individually, yours will differ slightly from the photographs.

Usually, yes. Most pieces can be remade in another colour, finish or size. Message us on Instagram with what you have in mind and we will confirm the price and how long it will take to make before you commit.

Use an LED bulb: it runs far cooler than incandescent or halogen bulbs, which matters with paper, fabric and natural-fibre shades. Stay within the maximum wattage of your fitting, and choose warm white (around 2700–3000 K) for the softest glow. Read our guide to bulbs and safety

Dust it with a soft, dry brush or cloth. Papier-mâché is paper-based, so keep it away from water, steam and damp rooms such as bathrooms; to lift a mark, use a barely damp cloth and dry the spot straight away. Full care guide
